Open Studio Is Now In Session

Produced in association with Ben Sherman.
We wanted talented humans and talented humans we did get. Now, we jam.

We’re super stoked that Open Studio presented by Ben Sherman is now in session, recording an original crowdsourced composition from February 17 (that’s today!) until February 21 (this Friday) – cooking hot and fresh out the kitchen from its temporary home in a custom built recording studio in Sydney Arcade’s Ben Sherman store that invites the public to lay down a beat, a click or a clap on an original track under the guidance of chart topping ARIA winning dance act, Art vs Science. Mega hit, come hither.
Joining Jean-Paul Fung – noted writer/producer/mixer for the likes of Jet, Last  Dinosaurs and Papa vs Pretty – is a gaggle of over 70 talented chosen ones who will now be able to say “dude, I’m with the band”. Musical magic is currently being made – stream the entire process live here – utilising everything from the standard vox, guitar, bass and drums setup to sleigh bells, percussion and theremin. Surprise guest bands and characters will also be popping by so keep yours eyes glued to the Open Studio stream to keep tabs on the collaborators.
The track and official video clip will be mixed, edited and recorded live for the world to witness, and both will be unleashed next month across TV, radio, Rdio and the world wide web.
“We could not think of a better way to begin the celebrations of our 50th anniversary than with this innovative concept,” Ben Sherman Brand Marketing Manager Tim Smith said. “Music has always been at the heart of the Ben Sherman brand and we are thrilled to be able to present this world first collaboration with Art vs Science.”
Head to 400 George St, Sydney Arcade, join us in the booth and help make music history.
Even if all you can do is this…
