A One Direction Reunion Is Reportedly In The Works To Cure Your Deepest Iso Blues

The One Direction lads are reportedly working on something big for the band’s tenth anniversary, providing fans with a speck of hope in some deeply dogshit times.

Page Six reports Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik are trying to cobble something together to mark a decade of boy band superstardom on July 23.

It’s currently unclear what that something could be. Page Six reports a tour is the only concept that’s been trashed, for reasons which should be obvious.

However, the publication reckons a new single or a televised special could come out of this.

In addition to #OneDirectionReunion, the group’s Twitter stans have popularised #1DOnlineConcertStayAtHome, suggesting an appetite for a big ol’ Zoom meeting with the boys.

A source with knowledge of the matter told Page Six there’s a few issues to work through, but “there’s a lot of goodwill between them now and they want to make something happen.”

That hasn’t necessarily been the case through the act’s history. Malik peaced out in 2015 due to the stress of touring, with the band dissolving soon after.

It was never a definitive end, mind you. Despite each member launching into their own solo projects, the bulk of fans seemed to harbour the belief they’d get back together at some point.

Page Six points to the fact each non-Zayn member has re-followed him on Twitter as extra proof that all of this is a thing. Heady times.

If all else fails, just play all of their solo records at once. Maybe there’s a secret message you can only hear when they all overlap.

Enjoy that fun isolation project, and we’ll let you know if, or when, One Direction actually churns back into action.
