OH SHIT: Dave Grohl Is Playing A Secret Show In Sydney Tonight

Not a drill, folks. REPEAT: NOT A DRILL.

If you were in search of something to liven up this otherwise totally nondescript Tuesday, you’d better get your goddamned ass down to Darlinghurst QUICK STICKS.

Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins, they of the mighty Foo Fighters, have announced that they’ll be performing a very last minute secret show at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory tonight.

That’s tonight. Tuesday, August 29th. TOO-NITE.

Grohl and Hawkins will be performing in their “dirt rock cover band” Chevy Metal at the OAF tonight, with tickets for the extremely small show going on sale at 1pm this afternoon.

If you want to go, you’re gonna have to take a long lunch today. The OAF confirmed that tickets will be strictly limited to one per-person – i.e. your mate can’t stand in line for you – and can only be purchased in-person at the venue. The venue will begin selling at 1pm sharp, and each person will be issued with a wristband, as well as their ticket. You’ll then have to show your wristband later on when you scan your ticket for entry.

The good news? It’s only gonna set you back a cool $20.

The Chevy Metal lineup features both Grohl and Hawkins, alongside Wiley Hodgen of Birds of Satan and Brent Woods who plays in Sebastian Bach‘s band.

The group plays “deep cuts off albums by Sabbath, Van Halen, Queen, and The Stones, to name a few,” which frankly sounds *BADASS*.

Grohl and Hawkins are in town to promote the Foo Fighters’ new album ‘Concrete & Gold,’ so the sneaky show is an absolute bonus for fans frothing to get around them.

We’re not kidding. This is real. We checked.

The line at the moment is reportedly incredibly short, so if you’ve got the time, hot step it down to Oxford Street TOUT FKN SUITE.
