Odesza Killed Their Back-To-Back Syd Shows & We Got The Snaps To Prove It

While most of us spent our time at uni cementing our ability to smash 3000 words in under three hours, Harrison Mills & Clayton Knight A.K.A. Odesza were cementing their sound + slinging bangers up on Soundcloud.

What was once a side hustle now sees the talented due perform to sold-out crowds and fezzies across the globe. But despite all their globe trotting, it’s no secret Odesza dig Down Under. They visit us on the reg and absolutely froth on our homegrown talent. They’ve been very vocal about their love for Hayden James, Angus & Julia Stone, RÜFÜS and went so far as to feature Mansion Air on their latest album A Moment Apart. They’re even set to tour around Europe with MUTO over the next coupla of months.

Odesza showed Sydney some serious love last weekend, performing back-to-back shows at the iconic Enmore Theatre. Opening with Running Touch and The Kite String Tangle, Odesza don’t perform your average electronic show. Unlike many of their fellows, they play live, alongside their bandmates. The duo kept things interesting, switching between sample pads, drums and surprise LA guest Naomi Wild, who slayed it on stage to their new track Higher Ground. Each song seamlessly transitioned into the next, making their live set one long atmospheric blur. The experience was only made more mesmeric by the show-stopping visuals that gave us our only glimpse of the duo, their silhouettes.

It’s clear these two Seattle based dudes don’t wanna distract you from the experience of their choons with their presence, they want to leave you with memories of their sweet sound and good vibes, and that’s exactly what we did.

Missed their gig/can’t get enough of ’em? Do yourself a favour and catch Odesza @ Laneway Festival here.
