Oasis Are Rumoured To Reunite At Ariana Grande’s Manchester Benefit Gig

Take this with as many grains of salt as possible considering the source is… well, what it is. But regardless, if ever there were a thing that would lead the Gallagher brothers to willingly spend time together in the same room, it’d be a shared love of their city.
Ariana Grande is officially making her return to Manchester this coming weekend for an enormous benefit concert that will assist the victims of last week’s horrific terrorist attack at her Manchester Arena show which left 23 people dead and injured over 100 others.
The One Love Manchester show will go down this coming Sunday (UK time) June 4th at the Old Trafford cricket stadium in Manchester.
Aside from Grande herself, the concert is bringing together a score of big name acts from the UK and the US, with Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Niall Horan, Coldplay, and Take That among others.
One other act on the bill is, apparently, the Black Eyed Peas. And Taboo from the band might well have spoiled a surprise reunion from Manchester heavyweights Oasis in a Twitter post, of all bloody places.
Taboo posted the gig poster and tagged the raft of artists set to appear. Curiously, he also tagged the Oasis twitter account, which could mean nothing, or it could mean everything.

Taboo swiftly deleted that particular Tweet, replacing it with a “right” one a short while later, blaming human error on his original post.

The question remains though, how do you “accidentally” tag a band that means more to Manchester than perhaps any other? It’s not like he meant to include another band starting with O and autocorrect did the dirty on him. That’s a deliberate typing. You can’t stuff that up.

Regardless, it’s as rumour-mill as rumour-mill gets at this stage. And it’s still entirely likely that one of Liam or Noel Gallagher‘s other musical endeavours will take the stage instead of the whole band itself.
But still, reuniting the old group to help out their hometown seems like a logical enough reason. The brothers might loathe each other’s guts, but their love for Manchester runs extremely deep.
Oasis reuniting because of Ariana Grande. There’s a sentence no one would’ve ever expected to read.
