HOLY TAPDANCING SHIT. We did not see this one coming.
The wonderfully enigmatic and mysterious Prince has dropped an almighty bombshell, by not only revealing that he’ll be touring Australia and New Zealand, but also that that tour is going to take place in February 2016.
As in, the month that we are actually in right now.
The tour will apparently feature Prince playing solely by himself – the tour is entitled the “Piano & A Microphone” tour.
The famously prolific but wildly secretive music and cultural icon last toured here in 2012, in a tour that featured a swathe of big arena shows, coupled with a handful of ultra secret late-night appearances in small clubs – the kind of thing that the artist has become synonymous for throughout his career.
Little has been made public about the dates or ticket sales for the tour, but promoting company Dainty Group, and Prince‘s official Twitter account, both confirmed the tour just a few short minutes ago.
