North West Agrees To Appear In First Solo Fashion Editorial

Today in Things You’d Never Profess To Caring Aboutrich baby North West has deigned to appear in her first solo fashion editorial – not including her American Vogue debut – in the hallowed pages of former Vogue Paris editrix Carine Roitfeld’s CR Fashion Book
In a spread lensed by Richard Avedon’s grandson Michael a little presumptuously entitled ‘Legends’, North West – a baby in whom you’ve shown a great deal of unreciprocated interest – wears head-to-toe Chanel. In her ears, pearl earrings that cost more than your car; on her torso, a camellia broach the colour of the books you’re in, financially speaking.
A cashmere cardigan, a 2.55 purse the size of her head and a quote from Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld provide the finishing touches on this unnerving tableau. “It’s never too early to care about fashion!” shouts Lagerfeld into the void, quoting the truism that you’d previously set aside for your epitaph.
Terry Richardson’s late father, Bob Richardson, the late Italian architect Carlo Mollino – portrayed by Lara Stone – and designers Stephen Burrows and Bob Mackie will also feature in the ‘Legends’ editorial alongside North West, which makes perfect sense. It’s never too early to be a legend.
