NOOO: Young Thug Forced To Bow Out Of Laneway ‘Cos Of Visa Complications

Bitta bad news, folks. Ya boi Young Thug – who we were massively keen to see at Laneway – won’t be hitting our golden shores. Thanks to some pesky visa issues, he’ll have to cancel his appearance at the touring festival.

noooooo

A statement from Laneway confirmed that they’re gutted, because they’ve wanted him to play the festival for a while:

Due to recent complications with the visa process, we regret to announce that Young Thug is not able to play Laneway Festival in 2017. We are deeply disappointed with this outcome as we have wanted Young Thug to play at the festival for some years now.

We understand that patrons may have bought tickets specifically to see Young Thug and offer our sincerest apologies as well as a window for refund requests.

If you were mad keen to see Thug – to the exclusion of all other acts at Laneway – there’s a refund window of 72 hours. It’s open until 12:30pm on Saturday the 21st of January. Head to Moshtix to sort that out if need be.

Here’s the good news: the loose units in the Dune Rats will be taking the stage instead. In a statement, the band said they’re extremely keen to hit the road and rock your bloody jocks off:

We were STOKED when we got the call up to join the 2017 Laneway Festival line-up. Years ago these legends were the first touring festival to take a punt on us and we had the time of our lives. We can’t wait to do it all again! Cya in just over 1 week!!

We’ll see y’all soon. In the meantime, make sure you watch Thugga’s insanely cooked music video:
