Nirvana and KISS To Be Inducted Into Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

In their first year of being eligible (25 years after the release of their first single Love Buzz in 1988), Nirvana have today been announced as one of 2014’s inductees into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame (to the surprise of absolutely no-one), alongside makeup enthusiasts KISS, Genesis’ Peter Gabriel, Hall And Oats, Cat Stevens and Linda Rondstadt.

Bruce Springsteen’s buddies The E Street Band are being given the Award for Musical Excellence, and Beatles manager Brian Epstein and the original manager for The Rolling Stones Andrew Loog Oldham will both receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award for non-performers, possibly the first thing they’ve been willing to share throughout their entire careers. The induction ceremony will go down in April, and will be the first ceremony that the general public will be able to attend.
