It took her long enough, but Nicki Minaj has finally responded to Remy Ma’s diss track one-two punch with three newies of her own – and she’s enlisted two up-and-comers named Drake and Lil Wayne for her responses.
No Frauds, Changed It, and Regret In Your Tears were all released this arvo, marking Minaj’s first overt response to some incendiary and deeply personal verbal attacks from Ma.
She took a pop at Ma’s two-track stategy too, with the bar “Back to back, oh you mean, back to wack? Back To Back? Me and Drizzy laughed at that.”
Changed It carries in in the same vibe, with “the bitch gambled her career, now it’s gon’ be severe” and “This hoe gettin’ slick, so I put on gym shoes and extended my run / MJ, Game 6, Jackson, Tyson.”
Regret In Your Tears is latter-day Nicki, but whatever, get it in your ears anyway.
Twitter’s consensus – the only one that matters here, tbh – seems to think that the tracks are a win commercially, but a bit of a slip-up as far as lyrical content goes.
