Are y’all ready for this?
Nicki Minaj dropped a new solo track ‘The Pinkprint Freestyle‘ on Soundcloud earlier today, and she shouts out to our blessed dead son Harambe, who died for our sins.
Well, she references him anyway, and it’s too perfect for words:
“Bars for years, niggas think I did a bid
Draggin’ these hoes like Harambe did the kid”

She’s rapping over Young M.A‘s ‘OOOUUU‘ and gives a shout-out in the first couple lines, which apparently a few people were interpreting as a diss. Minaj cleared that up on Twitter:
Genius is wrong again & im only 5 lines in??. I said yung ma, ITS the female Jay. Introducing myself to her.

The whole track is smackdown to the haters, and it’s some goddamn poetry tbh.
“Anytime they count me out, I be like Usain
Bitch I come back like Jordan in his ‘Flu Game’
Every time I shoot it, it be all net
I give him ostrich, that means all neck”
It’s her first solo track in a while, having recently appeared on singles by DJ Khaled, DJ Mustard and Ariana Grande (a.k.a. the one about too much dick).
But even queens know when to bless other queens.
Have a listen to the track below (and yep, she’s referencing M.I.A.‘s ‘Paper Planes‘ at 4:30.)
