And so the Empire Of The Sun saga rolls on. Displaying Carmen San Diego levels of elusiveness, the million dollar question, Where do you procure such beautiful headdresses? has since change to Where in the world is Nick Littlemore? Well folks, we now have an answer.
Speaking with NME.com Littlemore finally explained his five month absence from Empire Of The Sun: “We’re [Pnau] making a studio album with Elton John co-writing on some tracks for the next Pnau album…We met Elton in Australia and his manager has now become our manager.”
Littlemore also spent time trying to join the circus, for reals! “I’ve been working with Cirque du Soleil in Montreal and writing and recording the next Pnau album in London, Atlanta and New York with [Pnau bandmate] Peter Mayes” he said.
When asked about his inability to contact Empire Of The Sun band mate Luke Steele, Littlemore, a victim of bad luck and perhaps laziness said the following: “I was recording in Atlanta and swimming with my phone in my pocket…I’ve never managed to replace it.”
Meanwhile in Littlemore’s homeland, the AFL Grand Finals are pilfering his moves and Steele undertakes Empire Of The Sun frontman duties alone. I’m sure more craziness will ensue shortly so watch this space.
