Purported to be this year’s MGMT, electro pop five-piece Passion Pit armed with a tapestry of keyboards, adolescent choirs and nostalgia manage to do the impossible – evoke more childlike wonder than their much hyped New York brethren.
“The Reeling” much like lead single Sleepyhead relies on a dance floor friendly mix of throbbing electronic basslines, splashy hi-hats, programmed drums and the infectiously emotive vocals of Passion Pit mastermind Michael Angelakos. We dare you not to dance or echo oh no-uh-oh-uh-ohs.
