My Favourite Roadtrip Songs, By The Playground Weekender Artists

Cameron Crowe’s terrible 2005 movie Elizabethtown taught us two things: (1) Orlando Bloom’s defining role will forever be the beautiful elf from The Lord Of The Rings, and (2) every good road trip needs a mix tape.

Nothing beats a well curated selection of tunes perfectly suited to hitting the open road with the top down and the air in your hair (car type and baldness permitting). There isn’t long to go before we’ll be packing into the people mover and making our way to Del Rio Riverside Resort for Playground Weekender. To help us make the perfect playlist for the journey, a stack of artists from the Playground Weekender lineup have contributed their top three road trip songs, providing various interpretations to the task and a diverse mix of artists and genres – from Miles Davis to Talking Heads, Midnight Oil and Roxette.
