My Bloody Valentine Release First Album In Twenty Two Years

Critically adored shoegaze icons, My Bloody Valentine, have literally just released their followup to 1991’s Loveless but no one has heard it yet because the Internet is a fickle mistress.

It’s the band’s first release in twenty-two years and the surprise announcement over Facebook is generating comparisons between the reclusive Dubliners and David Bowie’s recent release of the single ‘Where Are We Now,’  his first 2003’s Reality.
Much to the chagrin of the band’s fanbase, who have waited over two decades for the new release but literally cannot wait a minute longer, no one is able to get onto www.mybloodyvalentine.org. [HTTP Errors 403, 503] Let us know if you have any luck.
The band are set to play their first Australasian show in over twenty years at All Tomorrow’s Parties in Melbourne on Saturday February 16th. Details here. They’re also playing a show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre (February 18th), Brisbane’s Tivoli (February 20th) and Melbourne’s Palace Theatre (February 22nd).
UPDATE [via Prefix]: The new album is called ‘mbv’ and the lowercase track-listing is as follows:
1. she found now
2. only tomorrow
3. who sees you
4. is this and yes
5. if i am
6. new you
7. in another way
8. nothing is
9. wonder 2
You’ll be able to download it, purchase a compact disk [CD] or on vinyl (?).
