Midnight Oil Jerked Their Joints With A Surprise Gig At A Sydney Bowlo

Most good things get their start in pubs. Midnight Oil’s first international tour in fifteen years is no exception.

Well, the iconic Aussie band’s surprise showing at Sydney’s Marrickville Bowling Club yesterday doesn’t technically count as the first date on their mammoth tour, but it was an undoubtedly good thing.

Those in attendance were made privy to some vital tunes (and moves) from the Australian rock canon, including Dreamworld, Say Your Prayers, and King of the Mountain for an encore.
Fronting up to around 400 friends, fam and fans, Peter Garrett and Co. threw the sneaky gig to shake off the dust ahead of their The Great Circle tour. It’s slated to begin in Portugal on April 25, but not before another quick local bash at Coogee Bay Hotel this Thursday.
