After dropping the truly epic “This New Technology” late last year, the bearded fellows from Midnight Juggernauts are finally poised to release their second studio LP, The Crystal Axis in May. The album will be released on the 28th of May with a Siberia/Acephale Vinyl and Deluxe pack for the purists but before that, the band’s next single, Vital Sings, will be released on the 9th of April via iTunes.
Like 2007’s Dystopia the album was self-produced by the band but engineered by Chris Moore (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV On The Radio, Liars, Foals). As far as the general vibe goes when we interviewed drummer Daniel Stricker last year he described The Crystal Axis as pretty lush with big washed out sound and 70’s sounding. We. Can’t. Wait.
