Meredith Music Festival have already announced two of their 2013 headliners, with Golden Plains 2012 champion and Daft Punk’s current BFF Nile Rodgers with his band Chic, as well as big-haired mind-warpers Melvins, leading the charge for what many consider to be the best festival in the whole wide world.
This morning they’ve dropped the full line up, and it’s a blinder. Out-of-this-world internationals like Brian Jonestown Massacre, Derrick May, Joey Bada$$ and Deerhunter will share the Supernatural Amphitheatre stage with homegrown heroes like Spiderbait, World’s End Press, Vance Joy and Beasts of Bourbon.
As always, it’s BYO, as always, people will run in the nude, and as always, the Meredith “No Dickheads” policy remains firmly in place. This year, however, 500 fewer tickets will be sold than usual, giving all attendees a little extra room to stretch their party muscles.
The ticket ballot for existing subscribers will be drawn today, August 15, but newbies can enter the second ballot, which will be drawn in a week’s time. So enter at www.mmf.com.au! There is only one ticket available: three days and two nights, including camping and parking for $309 + $10 booking. Ballot and Online tickets via Registered Post are an additional $7.
