Meet Our New Samsung Sound Editor-At-Large

Produced in association with our mates at Samsung.
Without any ado whatsoever, it gives us a great deal of pleasure and just the slightest tinge of envy to introduce to you our newly-appointed Samsung Sound Editor-At-Large, Christopher Kevin Au, who heeded the cuss out of our recent callout for a triple threat who could sing, dance and act their way all the way into our hearts by reviewing some of our favourite songs from three of our most-talented local acts, Cloud Control, Flight Facilities and Jinja Safari, and describes himself thusly:
“I’m a 24-year-old journalist & Asian squat enthusiast from Sydney. I spend my time re-enacting Southern rap videos & buying garments that Sean Paul wore in the ‘Get Busy’ video clip. I have written for a bunch of publications including Pagesdigital, Inthemix and Oyster Magazine, and interviewed some of my heroes such as Kendrick Lamar, Diplo and DJ Pauly D (true story). I am also passionate about ignorant sportswear, and fully endorse wearing full tracksuits & Air Max 95’s on all occasions – especially at black tie events and job interviews. I give a thumbs up for life and turn down for nothing, find me ruining everyone’s time at the club when ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’ by Drake comes on.”
It’s now CKA’s selfless task to attend the three events staged by Samsung in Sydney and Melbourne. He’ll then be reporting back to you on his findings in a series of reports filed mid-squat from the frontline of a great time.
