Village of The Damned meets Close Encounters Of The Third Kind meets Super 8 in the new music video for the soaring M83 single “Reunion” off 2011 album Hurry Up We’re Dreaming. Video/art directing team Fleur & Manu (responsible for this awesomely weird Canyons vid) envision an alternate world in which a troupe of glowy-eyed children with supernatural powers take on the sinister forces of another glowy-eyed child (blue glow = good, red glow = bad) who is working under the supervision of some government-type adults portending evil.
M83 and Fleur & Manu have dropped in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it tribute to the late Beastie Boy Adam “MCA” Yauch who tragically passed away earlier this month. Keep an eye out for a split-second closeup of an electronic map that with the street Adam Yauch Ave.
