Louis Tomlinson Says The Blessed One Direction Reunion Is “Inevitable”

Louis Tomlinson

Louis Tomlinson, bless him, says the One Direction reunion will happen. It’s just a matter of timing. The boys first announced their indefinite hiatus back in 2016 before they each embarked on their solo careers. Since 2019 appears to be the year of The Returns – re: Jonas Brothers, let’s hope the reunion is sometime soon (now, right now).

“I do think it will happen,” Tomlinson told ITV“I’d certainly have something to say about it if it didn’t. I think it’s inevitable. When is the big question. That’s something none of us really know the answer to at the moment.”

For now, the artist says it’s important that they all focus on their individual careers.

“I feel like what’s most important is that when we do get back together, we’re all on the same page and we’ve all done what we want to do individually,” he continued. “That’s vitally important for when we get back.”

The X Factor judge added that he only has “incredible memories” looking back at his time with the band.

“I think we got to a place musically, especially on the last two albums, that we felt really proud of,” he said.

“We started off as a boy band and where we ended up musically was a very different place. I’m really proud of those times, definitely.”

Late last month, the artist took a sledgehammer to our hearts when he released the song ‘Two of Us’ and its music video. In it, Tomlinson takes 83-year-old Richard on an adventure around town to check off a few items on his bucket list.

Richard’s wife Pat passed away from Alzheimer’s in December 2016, around the same time Louis lost his mother, Johannah Deakin, to leukaemia.

“This video feels particularly relevant and powerful to me,” Tomlinson wrote on Instagram when he released the song. “Richard is a classic example of a fearless man who in light of tragedy still pushes himself to live with as much laughter and happiness as possible.”
