When she’s not engaging in combat maneuvers as part of Taylor Swift‘s private army and lobbing shade grenades at Diplo‘s supposedy sub-optimal genital situation, Lorde is also a musician of some renown.
The singer curated the soundtrack for the upcoming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and, as you probably would, snuck a few of her own tracks on there, including this just-released cover of Bright Eyes‘ ‘Ladder Song’.
It’s subdued and moody and we can totally imagine it playing over a scene where Katniss hangs her head in despair at the world going to shit around her before rallying and blowing some Capitol scum to kingdom come.
