Get your towels ready, it’s about to go down. The good boys at The Lonely Island have been tearing up the recorded airwaves with their litany of internet-breaking clips for a solid few years now. But in 2018, they’re taking that shit to the stage for the very first time, with the group announcing their debut live performance a short time ago.
Sure, it’s in America. But it’s no less bloody exciting.
Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone will be taking the stage under their Lonely Island guise at this year’s Comedy Central Clusterfest in San Francisco; a sprawling, mouthwatering comedy and music festival that sports a lineup that’ll have comedy fans flipping the bird to Coachella in droves.
Clusterfest unveiled its 2018 lineup earlier this morning, and The Lonely Island live show is among a slate of headliners that also includes the likes of Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer & Friends, Trevor Noah, Jim Jeffries, Maria Bamford, and musical acts like Third Eye Blind, Salt-N-Pepa, and Action Bronson.
If that alone weren’t enough, the extended lineup also features David Cross, Tiffany Haddish, Reggie Watts, something called Kyle Mooney & Nathan Fielder’s Video Treasures which sounds incredible TBH, Roy Wood Jr, Nikki Glaser, Bert Kreischer, Joe Mande, Australia’s own Ronny Cheing, Alaska Thunderfuck, and live shows from This Is Not Happening, Last Podcast on the Left, Raised By TV, Drunk History, Las Culturistas, and the almighty Reductress.
Fucken… it’s mammoth. Seriously mammoth.
