Just a friendly reminder that Lizzo‘s world domination has continued – her anthem ‘Truth Hurts’ has officially tied with Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX‘s ‘Fancy’ as the longest running Billboard no. 1 by a female rapper.
‘Truth Hurts’ spent 6 consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 before being bumped to no. 2 last week by Travis Scott‘s ‘Highest in the Room’. This week, however, she returns to the top spot, matching ‘Fancy’, which also spent 7 blessed weeks at number 1 in 2014.

Lizzo took to IG to celebrate the occasion. “We… Are… Officially…. Tied w/ Fancy for longest female rap #1 thank you to everyone who streamed and guess what???” she captioned her screenshot of the chart. “IF WE GET ONE MORE WEEK TRUTH HURTS WILL BE THE LONGEST RUNNING FEMALE RAP #1 OF ALL TIME”

Charli XCX, who collabs with Lizzo on ‘Blame It On Your Love’, sent her congrats yesterday. Queens supporting queens – j’adore.

Remember to stream ‘Truth Hurts’ for clear skin. One more week and Lizzo will have the record, two years after the song’s initial release. A huge, flute-playing mood.
