2015 sure is delivering early. Kanye West last night dropped a collaboration with none other than Paul McCartney.
We won’t ruin it for you, but it’s pretty gorgeous and almost gospel in nature. ‘Ye does most of the singing, back with his favourite piece of vocal modifying software that you may remember from 808s and Heartbreak (though not as grating, somehow), accompanied by Macca on a beautiful Fender Rhodes. That’s pretty much it, save a few buzz-saw synths. Sparse and tasteful.
All rips have been pulled from the net, so if you want to listen to it, you’re gonna have to spend some time on KanyeWest.com
McCartney does pull in some harmonies too, so if you think you would die before hearing a Beatle singing thirds with a backpack rapper, give yourself a pat on the back.
We would like a whole album like this very much please.
