In weird-festival-lineup news, it’s been revealed that diminutive mixtape prodigy and self-proclaimed “best rapper alive” Lil Wayne will be headlining Aussie dance music fest Ultra Session Beats 300 this coming spring.
Weezy’s billed alongside Gaga duplicate Wynter Gordon, grime kingpin Wiley, Detroit techno stalwart Kevin Saunderson, and Kid Cudi, making it one of the most bizarrely random curation of artists we’ve seen on any genre-festival lineup for a while.
Lil Wayne, who’s planning to release his ninth studio album Tha Carter IV on 29 August, recently performed at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts festival in Tennessee and reportedly killed it.
Weezy’s done jail time for weapons charges so it will be interesting to see if he’s let into the country at all.
