LCD Soundsystem Farewell Gig Streaming On Pitchfork

LCD Soundsystem are calling it a day – for reals this time – going out with a bang in their final gig at Madison Square Garden this Friday, April 2. Pitchfork will be on hand to stream the show in its apparent 3 hour entirety for those less fortunate (i.e: everyone in Australia) who couldn’t get to the show.

The NYC finale has already attracted controversy, namely from James Murphy himself, who realised the show had sold out so quickly because of scalpers, which led to them to add more gigs this week at Terminal 5: “This here is just to say that we were more than taken aback and surprised about the speed of ticket sales for the April 2nd gig, as well as the effectiveness of scalper pieces of fucking shit at getting their hands on said tickets before fans could, and it’s knocked us on our asses.”

Well then.

Head to Pitchfork this Saturday at around midday Australian time to farewell one of the best and most interesting bands of the last decade. We’ll be screaming all the great lines from ‘Losing My Edge’ from the Pedestrian office rooftop.

First Hipster Runoff, now this? When someone great is gone…
