Everyone’s favourite dreamy sad-girl icon, Lana Del Rey, has narrowly avoided being kidnapped by an obsessed fan, Orlando Police have revealed.
According to a statement released by the Orlando Police Department, local cops moved in on 43-year-old hyper-fan Michael Hunt before Del Rey’s concert at the Amway Centre on Friday night. They arrested him just 60 metres from where she was performing.

He’d reportedly threatened to kidnap Del Rey at her show, and police say he was “in possession of tickets to the Lana Del Rey performance and a knife“.
He’s been charged with stalking with a credible threat and attempted kidnapping with a weapon.
Hunt had reportedly uploaded a rambling video to Facebook in which he said he was going to “finish out her tour with her“, and ranted about politics. Someone called in a tip to the police, and lucky for everyone, they acted on it.
Their arrest report says that Del Rey, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, knew about the threats and was terrified, stating: “due to the statements posted by Hunt, Victim Elizabeth Grant was in fear for her safety“.

In other Facebook posts, Hunt wrote, “I want to see my queen on Friday and from that day forward our decisions will be as one“, “she knows my face in her dreams“, and “she’s my always and forever to be“.
YIKES, tbqfh. Stay safe, Lizzie. We love you.
