Lana Del Rey Is The New Face Of H&M

The latest union between fashion retailer and celebrity style icon sees singer Lana Del Rey as the face H&M‘s Autumn/Winter campaign. With the collection being dubbed ‘L.A noir’ it conveniently complements Del Rey’s upcoming “Summertime Sadness” video.

The bee-hived songstress is becoming an increasingly visible fixture in the fashion world having signed to Next Model Management earlier this year, as well as being honoured with her very own namesake Mulberry handbag.

Shot by renowned fashion photogs Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the first H&M preview reveals a muted palette of fluffy pink angora, bouffant hair and Del Rey’s signature smokey cat eyes. She has also covered the song ‘Blue Jeans Velvet‘ as part of the campaign, which will be featured in a commercial later this year.

If the angora sweater Del Rey is sporting in these shots is anything to go by, the upcoming collection will be fantastically retro and highly coveted. Bring on the opening of H&M in Australia.
