Our Kylie Is Back To Save Pop Music With Her Fresh New Single ‘Dancing’

It’s the day the entire nation has been waiting for: our Kylie is back on deck for her brand new album Golden, which will no doubt survey the truly barren wasteland of contemporary pop, thrust a defiant fist into the air and bring real life back to the genre. Her first studio album in four years drops on the 6th of April, and it’ll surely be a revelation.

And the first single is here. After teasing it on her social media over the past few days, Kylie has dropped Dancing – living proof that recording part of the album in Nashville absolutely influenced the tunes. Dancing is contemporary pop by way of country, a gap in the market truly ripe for exploitation now that Taylor Swift has moved on to songs about how hard it is to be Taylor Swift.

The song is currently streaming on every platform that matters right now – get an easy link to your preferred one HERE.

It’s a nice dance tune, about dancing, with some jaunty country guitar to boot. Who could complain? Here’s what Kylie has to say about Dancing:

You’ve got the lyrical edge, that country feel, mixed with some sampling of the voice and electronic elements, so it does what it says on the label. And I love that it’s called ‘Dancing’, it’s immediately accessible and seemingly so obvious, but there’s depth within the song.

Golden lands on the 6th of April, and it comes with a bunch of collaborators like Jesse Frasure, Eg White, Jon Green, Biff Stannard, Samuel Dixon, Danny Shah and Lindsay Rimes – plus a duet with English singer Jack Savoretti. Can’t wait!
