With Matt Corby fans left devo by the last-minute cancellation of two Sydney gigs due to illness (the first show was canned literally minutes before he was due to take the stage at the Enmore), Krispy Kreme has announced all grieving Corby fans can flash their gig ticket to receive 1x **FREE DOUGHNUT** until midnight tonight.
Yep, alls you have to do is show a print-out of your now redundant gig ticket in any of Krispy Kreme’s Sydney stores – and look heaps sad – to pocket an Original Glazed for exactly $0.
You might be wondering why in the fuck is Krispy Kreme jumping on Matt’s unfortunate situation? It’s got nothing to do with free publicity, of course; no, they apparently have it on good authority that he’s a die-hard doughnut fan (though they’re unable to provide any actual evidence he’s not more partial to savoury foods, so that’s weird?).
Andrew McGuigan, CEO of Krispy Kreme Australia, says:
“We know Matt Corby has a huge love for doughnuts so can only hope our small gesture for fans will bring some joy to an otherwise grey and rainy Sydney day! We are wishing Matt a huge ‘get well soon’ from the whole team at Krispy Kreme and have also sent him some American Classics to hopefully aid recovery.”

Still, free doughnuts are free doughnuts – and anything with 1,000,000 teaspoons of sugar in it is bound to cheer up even the most dejected music lover.
