IT’S GOING DOWN: Kesha Is Officially Headed To The Byron Bluesfest In March

Sweet merciful crap, your eyes do not deceive you. KESHA is heading to Australia early next year to headline the already stacked-to-the-gills Byron Bay Bluesfest. YES MATES.

Bluesfest unveiled their third round of artist announcements earlier this morning, and the much-talked-about and now critically-acclaimed 30-year-old sits atop as a somewhat surprising addition to the bill.

Though she needs no introduction, it’s important to note that Kesha’s visit to Australia next March/April comes hot off the heels of the release of Rainbow, her long-awaited and tragically delayed album that not only served as a grand comeback-of-sorts, but also landed her on a number of year-end best of lists, including Rolling Stone which rated the album as the 4th best of the 2017.

SERIOUSLY PALS.

KESHA.

IN AUSTRALIA.

AT BLUESFEST.

But the good news doesn’t stop there for those of you thinking about making the trip up the coast. Along with Kesha (KESHA!!!), today’s announcement also includes international icons Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge. Holy hell.

And if that weren’t enough, the announcement also features Portuguese crooner Seu Jorge performing his globally renowned renditions of David Bowie songs, which you’d be intimately familiar with if you’re a fan of The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

They, and a stack of others, join a bill that is packed from top to bottom, featuring the likes of:

  • Lionel Richie
  • Robert Plant
  • John Butler Trio
  • Tash Sultana
  • Seal
  • Jackson Browne
  • Michael Franti & Spearhead (of course)
  • Gomez
  • José González
  • Morcheeba
  • The New Power Generation
  • The Original Blues Brothers Band
  • Jimmy Cliff
  • The Wailers
  • The Teskey Brothers

And good lord so much more.

But seriously mates, Kesha is coming.

K-E-S-H-A.
