Kendrick Lamar And Tame Impala Team Up For Divergent Original Soundtrack

Between the chic bodycon Halloween costume ideas, years of learning about sexuality through symbolism and unrealistic expectations of what we perceive to be our “destiny” we have a multitude of things to thank YA fiction for. And now one more thing, a Kendrick Lamar and Tame Impala collaboration.

The creative minds behind two of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2012, the Compton rapper’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D City and the Perth band’s Lonerism, have volunteered as tribute a reworking of the latter’s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” with vocal contributions from the former for the original soundtrack of impending tween blockbuster, Divergent, a film adaptation of the Veronica Roth novel of the same name starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller and Kate Winslet.

The soundtrack will also feature collaborations between A$AP Rocky and GesaffelsteinPia Mia and Chance the Rapper and contributions from Ellie Goulding, Snow Patrol, M83 and Skrillex.
