I don’t pretend to know the inscrutable algebra practised by TV executives to decide who gets to host daytime talk shows, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, it looks like the result of one of those equations is Kelly Clarkson.

Sources confirmed to both THR and Broadcasting & Cable that Clarkson is filming a pilot for a daytime talk show with NBC, which would air in early 2019 if picked up.
The details of the show being offered up by THR are pretty sparse (“The series could be sold to TV stations in syndication or air on another platform — or perhaps a combination of both.“), but the prospect alone is pretty tantalising.
