Kanye West Partners With A.P.C. On Laissez-Faire French Selvedge Denim Line

Jean Touitou and his dishabille cult Parisian label A.P.C. (Atelier de Production et dat shit Cray – just kidding, it’s et de Création) have confirmed a long-rumoured partnership with Kanye West on a capsule collection presumably consisting of A.P.C.’s standard dry, unwashed, Japanese selvedge denim jeans with Yeezus themed red labels.
In case you missed that, A.P.C.’s founder’s name is Jean and he makes jeans which look best when they go unwashed to develop a chic, laissez-faire patina, which is also why they retail for ~$250 AUD. I count two mentions of jeans on Yeezus too: “leather black jeans” in Black Skinhead and antagonistic skinny jeans in I Am A God, so perhaps you’ll see elements of both in the collection. Also, croissants are French. It all makes perfect sense, really.
Both parties are no stranger to collaborative design projects: A.P.C. regularly issue capsule collections with Carhartt and Vanessa Seward; you already know everything there is to know about Kanye West [Giuseppe ZanottiGodet cetera]; and both have collaborated with Nike on various sneakers, suede Dunks and Air Yeezy’s respectively.
All will be revealed in a week’s time on July 14th at 10am. See?
