Kanye West Launches Womenswear Line In Paris

Kanye West turned more than a few heads over the weekend with his official launch of his new line of clothing in Paris over the weekend.

In typical superstar form, Yeezy sent out the invitations the day before the event to pretty much the biggest fashion hit list imaginable, including Terry Richardson, Anna Wintour, Caroline Rotfield, Lindsay Lohan, the Olsen Twins and Alexander Wang – and as testament to his unique pulling power, all of them attended. Even more surprising was the fact that the line was designed entirely for women, with shoes designed by the world-famous Italian cobbler, Giuseppe Zanotti.

Codenamed ‘Dw’, a reference to his much-beloved, recently deceased mother, Donda West, the range included all kinds of geometric shapes, hoodies made from crocodile skin and some dress that we swear had straps like a parachute pack. Aussie models who [Jesus] walked for ‘Ye included Bambi, Abbey Lee and Julia Nobis.

It’s not the first time ‘Ye has forayed into fashion in France. His last album’s artwork was printed onto silk scarves by local house M/M and sold at Parisian boutique, Colette, and he also has a line of sneakers to his name. Luckily none of the models took the advice of his breakout hit, ‘All Falls Down.’
