Kanye West Apologises To Drake About His Secret Son, Pusha T Shit & More

Kanye West has released a bunch of tweets overnight apologising to Drake regarding diss tracks, release dates and secret children.  Yikes. There’s a lot to unpack.

Is 2018 the year of squashing beef? Let’s dive straight in.

‘Ye first posted a screenshot of Drake’s ‘gram showing his Scorpion tour, alongside the caption, “Sending good energy and love to Drake and family and crew… I haven’t seen the show in person but the images look incredible online. I understand where the confusion started…”

Yeezy starts off by apologising for apparently stepping on Drake’s release date. “We were building a bond and working on music together,” he continues, “including squashing the issues with Cudi at our office.”

He then discusses “Lift Yourself” or, more-aptly, the “Poop-Di-Di-Scoop” anthem. Drake had apparently been interested in taking the beat, before Kanye went HAM and released the infamous version on all the streaming services.

Many rumour were also addressed, including the theory that it was Kanye who had told Pusha T about Drake’s son, consequently supplying Pusha with the fodder for his ruthless Drake diss track, “The Story of Adidon”. “I did not have any conversations about your child with Pusha,” Kanye wrote. “I don’t play with the idea of people’s children after I spoke to Wiz a few years earlier.”

“Since we were building as friends and brothers I should have spoken to Pusha about the Quentin Miller bar,” he adds. “There should have been no songs with my involvement that had any negative energy towards you.”

Our boy finishes off in true existential fashion:

This is a big step for Kanye, issuing public apologies, admitting his wrongs and offering a diamond encrusted, Yeezy-approved olive branch.

If this is the new Kanye West, we’re in.
