Kanye West Takes Aim At Drake’s Recent ‘Kiki’ Drama In Blunt Instagram Rant

Like many creatives in 2018, Kanye West has pivoted to video, offloading a stream-of-consciousness response to recent dramas involving Drake, Nick Cannon, and Tyson Beckford.

Taking to Instagram, the rapper/designer/influencer/life-size Lego minifigure took the time to “express some things that weren’t sitting right with my spirit”.

First on the agenda: Kim Kardashian‘s ex-partner Cannon.

Cannon recently took to the Everyday Struggle podcast to address Drake’s new song In My Feelings, which fans have speculated was about Drake’s alleged relationship with Kardashian. During that chat, Cannon – who dated Kardashian before West – insinuated Drake actually had devastating personal intel about Kardashian.

“If you get in an interview, don’t mention my wife,” West said. “If someone brings my wife up, you say ‘Hey, I respect that man, I’m not speaking on that.’

“Don’t be making no suggestions like nobody fucked my wife.”

West then directly addressed Drake, and the seeming shiftiness of namedropping a ‘Kiki‘ in that track.

“You know, if I had a girlfriend from Chicago and her name was Renita, and then you was married to Rihanna, I wouldn’t make no song called RiRi,” West said.

“So, when you’re like ‘Oh I don’t know where it come from,’ you too smart for that, bro. You know where that come from.”

Turning his attention to model Tyson Beckford, who recently alleged Kardashian received some botched cosmetic work. That whole saga escalated to the point where West asked for a reporter to be removed from a New York Fashion Week event because they him asked about it.

“Y’all be promoting that negativity, you think that’s cool for social media, it don’t sit right by my soul, it don’t sit right by my spirit,” West said.

“And as men, all three of y’all, come talk to me. Y’all holler at me. We’ll work it out. We’ll come to a resolution.”

It’s a lot to take in, and also features references to Pusha-T, Travis Scott, and West’s sister-in-law Kylie Jenner.

But with any luck, Ye’s latest turn as a Chicago-based vlogger will help map out the convoluted world of high-level rap beef.
