Kanye West Blesses The Greatest Album Of Life With A New Name

In life, there are but three absolute certainties: Death. Taxes. And Kanye West pulling some straight-up wackadoo shit simply because he’s Kanye Fucking West and he can do whatever he wants.

And sometimes that wackadoo shit involves announcing the premiere of his new album as well as his Yeezy Season 3 fashion line in a grand, gala event at Madison Square Garden on February 11th, which will be streamed live into select theatres across the globe.
And then sometimes that wackadoo shit involves him changing the name of his new album mere hours after he’s made that first announcement, and no more than two weeks out from the actual release of the damned thing.
According to a post on Twitter, the album formerly known as SWISH will now go by the moniker WAVES.

The album remains, according to West himself, “the best album of all time,” and “the album of the life.”

The previously released track-listing has now been updated to reflect the new album title.

Reaction online to the news has ranged from the utterly miffed…

…to the exasperated…

…to the creative…

…before it came back around to the bottom line of the whole argument.

But it was the already-existing Californian band Wavves who knocked the best joke clean out of the park.

Sometimes all the universe does is lob you setups for a punchline, y’know?
