Kanye West has pushed ahead with his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour, after rescheduling two shows due to his wife Kim Kardashian-West being the victim of a terrifying armed robbery in Paris.
He played a show in Edmonton, Canada overnight, and decided to halt mid-song to make a passionate and seemingly directed commentary on plagiarism.
He stopped the music in the middle of rapping ‘Freestyle #4′, to tell the crowd that he was ‘the original’, and that people had ‘stolen his shit’.
“This the original. Accept no imitations.
You with the rap God right now.
N*ggas be copying my shit bro. Stealin’ our shit, stealin’ stages. Copying our shit one-to-one.”
While there was no clarification of who he was directing his comment towards, people have begun to wonder if Yeezy was talking about Drake having similar stage aesthetics on his ‘Summer Sixteen’ tour – which would explain why ‘Ye decided to do this rant in Canada.
Now obviously this is just speculation (*takes grain of salt*), but Drizzy‘s definitely on a (albeit much smaller) floating stage about the crowd, with a wall of lights behind him at a recent show:
And this is Kanye‘s ‘Saint Pablo’ tour set up, for reference:

Hmmmm. A stretch, sure, but pretty hard to call ’em totally dissimilar.
But ‘scuse us – weren’t these two mates again? Wasn’t there a collab album coming?
Will there be more verses about who has a bigger pool? One can only hope.
