Kanye’s Brand New Track ‘Lift Yourself’ Features A Lot Of The Word “Poop”

After several days of manic Twitter updates, Kanye West has dropped a new song, ‘Lift Yourself’, via his official website, and look, it’s a lot to take in. Depending on how hard you buy into Kanye’s whole self-mythologising thing, it’s either the most searingly real and honest musical statement of the 21st century, or a rambling several minutes of him saying “poopidy scoopidy poop” over and over, to some unknown end.

The track starts with a bouncy vocal sample, before Kanye comes in to announce: “But they don’t really realise though … this next verse … this next verse though … these bars … watch this.” A link to the track is embedded in the second Tweet below, so you can listen and decide for yourself whether it’s a work of musical genius.

In an upcoming interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Kim Kardashian discusses her husband’s return to social media, saying:

“I didn’t even know he got his Twitter again. At night, he came in and was like did you see my tweets … and I followed him back.”

Though he has spent the past few days praising Donald Trump, when last we checked, Kanye was saying that he does not consider himself a conservative as he has not done enough research on the subject to know for sure.
