In case the anticipation of David Fincher’s The Social Network (due October 1) wasn’t enough to make us feel crappy about spending too much time on the internet and doing nothing with our lives except clicking ‘Like’ on the latest memes posted on the facebook pages of others, Justin Timberlake is getting rave reviews for his performance – another reason to feel crestfallen that we’re not him. The N*Sync star turned Britney Spears’ boyfriend turned solo pop icon turned honorary black person turned actor is being applauded for his role in the film and is already being rumored for Oscar glory.
Film blog Collider is among a handful of publications to be given a preview of The Social Network and they creamed themselves over it:
“A masterpiece… one of the best films I’ve seen in 2010…Fincher delivers a captivating film that had me engrossed from beginning to end,” they praised and of JT’s performance they wrote: “Justin Timberlake is great at whatever he does… A career-changing performance.”
Could this be Justin’s greatest performance yet?
