Justin Bieber’s Taking A Break From Music To “Be The Father I Want To Be”

For those hoping for new Justin Bieber tunes in the near future, you might wanna get back off the edge of your seat there, because the 25-year-old singer has said that he’s taking a step away from music for a while to focus on himself and his family.

Posting on his Instagram today, Biebs answered the question on every Belieber’s mind – and apparently taking up a lot of his DMs – about a follow up to 2015’s Purpose, recognising that he’s spent a whole chunk of his life touring and making music, and not taking care of himself and his new marriage to Hayley Baldwin.

Bieber’s reasoning for stepping away from his music career is so that he can focus on his mental health, allowing him to work on his relationship with Hayley, and “be the father I want to be” –wait, hang on a second, did Biebs just tease that he and Hayley are expecting a Baby Bieb? ExCUSE ME? I demand answers here.

Yeah fair cop, the guy’s been going non-stop for the last decade, since he was a wee baby singing ‘Baby.

Spending the better half of your teen years and early twenties constantly on the road, not sleeping much, and generally living a wild rockstar life absolutely takes its tolls. It’s understandable that Justin needs to take a bit of a sabbatical to calm the fuck down.

I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour.

I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be. Music is very important to me but Nothing comes before my family and my health.

It’s not the first time Bieber has spoken out about his struggles with his mental health, posting a couple of weeks ago that he had been “struggling” and feeling “super disconnected and weird“, and asking that his fans pray for him.

Thoughts and prayers are all well and good, but we’re also hoping that Biebs has y’know, spoken to a psych or gone to therapy to talk things through and work on his mental health.

But don’t worry yourselves too much, Beiber has promised that he’ll be back before you know it with a “kick ass album” and that his “swag is undeniable” (??) his “drive is indescribable” and will “come with a vengeance” when he’s right and ready.

Oh and if you check out his Insta stories, you’ll find that he’s gone and bought himself an HBOT to sleep in – a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber that pumps in pure oxygen to a point of three times the pressure of a normal room, allowing more oxygen to be taken into the bloodstream and aiding with muscle and tissue repair.
