Justin Bieber Cans All Fan Meet & Greets ‘Cos They No Longer Bring Him Joy

Look, let’s get one thing straight here. We’re under no illusions whatsoever that Fan Meet & Greets would be, at times, a bit of a laborious chore in the otherwise packed-schedule of a pop star.

Not everyone who attends them has an inspiring and moving story to tell, and frankly the majority of them would more than likely be just a little bit dull.
But you put up with them, and you give them a little show, and you find enjoyment in little momentary interactions, because positivity is sustaining, they represent your livelihood, and that one little moment of interaction creates a lifelong memory for them. And that shit’s important. Way more than you feeling a little tired or fatigued by the whole process.
And then right at the point when we were all starting to kinda, sorta, maybe like the guy just a little bit, Justin Bieber goes and spoils it all by doing something stupid like this shit.
The Canadian so-and-so posted to Instagram earlier today, stating that he will be cancelling all scheduled meet and greet sessions on his Purpose world tour effective immediately, citing the mental and emotional drain the pressure of having to more or less be “Justin Bieber” has been placing on his mental health.

Love u guys.. I’m going to be canceling my meet and greets. I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people’s spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy.. Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression .. The pressure of meeting people’s expectations of what I’m supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders. Never want to disappoint but I feel I would rather give you guys the show and my albums as promised. Can’t tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn’t so hard on me.. And I want to stay in the healthy mindset I’m in to give you the best show you have ever seen 😉

That part isn’t the shitty part. That part’s fair enough. If your head isn’t straight, things tend go pear-shaped in a big hurry.
What is a real kick in the bits is the fact that those meet and greets cost somewhere in the vicinity of $2,000 per head.
And Bieber’s management has released their policy regarding refunds: Unless you give up your ticket to the concert, you’re not getting a single cent back.

No partial refunds, meaning you either like the scaled-down “VIP” package that Biebs is offering instead (which by all accounts amounts to a brief behind-the-velvet-rope style mass viewing of his Royal Canadianness), or you simply do not go to the show at all.

Looking after your head is all well and good, sure. But it’s two thousand dollars per person. Come on, m8.
