Brooklyn based drummer Jerry Fuchs (!!!, Juan MacLean, Maserati) was pronounced dead on Sunday after falling five stories down an elevator shaft. Fuchs had attempted to jump out of the broken elevator when his clothing caught onto something causing him to fall down the shaft. He was 34 years of age.
The Associated Press reports: “Police say the man, identified as Jerry Fuchs, had been trying to jump out of a disabled elevator car when his clothing caught on something. Fuchs was unconscious and unresponsive when emergency responders brought him to Bellevue Hospital Center. He was pronounced dead at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, about three hours after the fall in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.“
