Your boy John Mayer, truly the Shane Warne of soft rock, has taken his thirst to new levels, bypassing DMs entirely and sliding right into the comments section of a mate’s Instagram to crack onto his daughter.
Music producer David Foster, former husband of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid, shared a photo of his daughter Erin Foster this week, calling her “one of the loves of my life” and wishing her a happy birthday.
With zero shame in his game, Mayer jumped right into the comments, asking his mate: “Can you put a good word in for me?”

John Mayer and David Foster are long-time friends, and have played together in the past. Erin Foster stars on the satirical VH1 reality series Barely Famous along with her sister Sarah Foster, and is apparently single.
Mayer, meanwhile, made headlines earlier this year when Katy Perry ranked the shagging prowess of her ex-boyfriends and put him at the top of the list. He declined to comment, which is probably a power move in that situation.
Nobody in the Foster family has responded to his joking (we assume) Instagram thirst, but we’ll be keeping tabs on the situation and wish John and Erin the very best in their (purely speculative at this point) smang fest.
