Jimmy Kimmel Helped Iggy Azalea Translate the Lyrics of ‘Fancy’ for Old People

Iggy Azalea‘s Charli XCX collaboration ‘Fancy’ has finally found its way to the Top 5 in the US, which means that the Aussie rapper and partial Portia de Rossi lookalike is a bona fide pop star now. Azalea has been doing the media rounds, and last night, the junior rap phenomenon stopped by Jimmy Kimmel‘s show to explain what the hell she’s talking about in ‘Fancy’.

In a segment called ‘New Lyrics For Old People’, Azalea assisted Kimmel in translating the lyrics of the song. For example, “First things first I’m the realest, drop this and let the whole world feel it” means “I’m the most authentic person you’ll ever meet, and I’m now going to share that with everyone through song.”
I kind of want Kimmel by my side to explain the meanings of all songs from now on.
Meanwhile, Iggy herself has a pronounced American twang in the clip, but she relocated to the States at age 16 and has lived pretty much her entire adult life there, so I guess she kiiiiiiind of gets a pass for that?
