Jessica Mauboy Wins Big at Indigenous Music Awards

For the second year running, singer and actress Jessica Mauboy has been crowned Artist Of The Year at the National Indigenous Music Awards
Mauboy, who is currently in L.A. working on a new album, was unable to attend the ceremony in Darwin, but SBS News report that she accepted her award via video link.
Melbourne singer-song writer Dan Sultan also won big, picking up both an Album Of The Year award for Blackbird, and song of the year for ‘The Same Man’.
Shepparton-raised rapper Briggs, whose new album ShepLife is due out next week, picked up the award for Best New Talent.
