Jay-Z Says He “Misses The Old Kanye” As Their Huge Feud Heats The Fuck Up

The internet has been fanning the flames of a Kanye / Jay-Z beef for a couple of days now, but it looks like really is some gas under that fire.

You may remember that Kanye got a bit furious onstage about various interpersonal issues with himself and Jay – including the fact their kids have never had a playdate, and the cavalier way Jay approached Kanye about Kim‘s robbery.
He also exposed why he didn’t appear on Drake‘s album:

Y’all ain’t get what y’all was suppose to get with me and Drake because of some Tidal/Apple bullshit. This shit got me tight, yo! Every time I perform, I think about this shit. I think about the politics and the bullshit. I think about how hard I go for music, for art, for y’all, the fans. How hard we go.

Obvs its a jab at Jay. Well, Jay isn’t pleased, apparently. Roc-a-fella Records co-founder Karreem “Biggs” Burke, an associate of Jay, says that he was “shocked” to hear what Kanye said onstage, and that he spoke to Jay afterwards:

The last I saw [West], he spoke really highly of Jay. I’m not sure about the relationship at this point. I spoke to Jay [after Kanye’s rant] and we’re both just like, ‘We miss the old Kanye.’ From what I know of Kanye, he’s usually really honest. So it sounds like something he’s going through right now. He may [say] something like that, and then three weeks later he may be back to, ‘That’s my brother.’ But at this point, with everybody’s career, we’re a little too old for rap beef.

This follows a music insider telling Page Six over the weekend that Jay “can’t stand” Kanye.  “Jay can’t stand him,” said the source. “He looks at him as this crazy, eccentric motherfucker he can tolerate in small doses. Kanye is a nut job. Everyone knows that.”

Rap beef is fun, but c’mon. Between one of the most loved collabs in modern hip-hop? Geddafuckouttahere.
