The music industry has copped an absolute beating in recent weeks as the coronavirus pandemic forced us to cancel all events with over 100 people, leaving many of us wondering how to support our favourite bands and artists. But thankfully the Australian music community has banded together for Isol-Aid, an Instagram Live music festival.

Huge, I know.

Taking place this Saturday March 21 from the comfort of your own home, you can rock out to the sounds of some of Australia’s most talented musicians.

The two-day festival has 12 hours of straight bangers coming through Instagram Live on Saturday and Sunday, featuring all of our favourite artists from wherever they’re self-isolating from.

“As the COVID-19 outbreak threatens live music across the globe, Australian artists from all over the world band together to create ISOL-AID, a socially (media) distanced music festival,” the event description reads.

“In a matter of weeks, tours, local shows and public appearances have been cancelled across the board and the international music community has come to a standstill and faces an uncertain future. According to ilostmygig.net.au the current tally of losses for the Australian music community, (for performers, production, crew, hospo workers, managers, booking agents & more) sits at $150 million dollars.”

72 of your favourite musicians will be taking part in the event including Julia Jacklin, Stella Donnelly, Yours Truly and Bakers Eddy  among others.

If you’re financially able, the event is urging fans to buy music and merch, donate to Support Act or financially support the artists however possible.
